Hexagon recognises that its activities have an impact upon the environment through our day to day operations. We acknowledge that we have a commitment to protect the environment.

As employers we will seek to increase the awareness of all our employees, workers and sub contractors with whom we work, to conserve and look at the environment across the spectrum of our activities.

Objective Improvement Aims

  • Increase awareness of environmental responsibilities among staff, workers and sub contractors.
  • Minimise waste and pollution and develop and operate environmentally sound waste management procedures to ensure we do not pollute the ground or watercourses.
  • To ensure noise and dust generated by operations are contained to acceptable levels.
  • To ensure that energy use is harnessed to maximise energy efficiency.
  • To ensure, where possible, that waste is recycled and disposal is carried out in manner conforming to current legislation.
  • To ensure that all personnel understand the importance of environmental issues and are up to date with the relevant law.
  • The above statements form part of a continuous programme of improvement.

Health & Safety

Hexagon takes its responsibilities seriously and are committed to providing a safe building and working environment for both employees, clients and subcontractors.

Hexagon is committed to:

  • Providing adequate control of health and safety risks arising from our building and maintenance activities.
  • Consulting with our employees and subcontractors on matters affecting health and safety.
  • Providing and maintaining safe plant equipment.
  • Ensuring safe handling and use of substances.
  • Providing information, instruction and supervision.
  • Ensuring all employees and subcontractors are competent to do their tasks and, where necessary, provide training.
  • The prevention of accidents and cases of work related ill health and the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Pro-active review and amendment, if necessary, of our health and safety policy at planned, regular intervals.
  • Ensuring continual training in health and safety.
